Here are some things you can do to prepare for conferences: Make a list of things that will help the teacher understand your child better. For example: * Special medical/health needs * Feelings about school * Study habits at home * Sleep habits & Nutrition * Television habits * Important experiences that may be affecting your child (death in family, best friend moving away, etc.) Make a list of things you want to find out from the teacher. For example, you may wish to know about * Services/programs the school offers * Extra-curricular activities * Daily schedule * Homework policy * Counseling and classroom guidance * Discipline policies * Grading policies We value your expertise and consider you a vital member of your child’s educational growth. See you at conferences! Reminder: Winter months and head lice go together.
