I'm delighted to be teaching music at Irvington. As I have said numerous times in class, "Music is a performance art." To that end, I announced to all the classes, First Grade to Seventh Grade that on November 14th and 15th we will have a "Recital Day." It is not a requirement. It will be an opportunity for your child to perform in front of the rest of the class. If your child is taking lessons or practices some form of music regularly, please encourage him/her to get a piece ready to perform. I will try to have 3 of these recital days during this year and we will have the Talent Show in April. -- Daniel Brixius PTA Corner Please welcome our new PTA Vice President, Doug Carlson. Thanks for stepping up Doug. Next PTA meeting: Tuesday, November 6th, 6:30pm - 8pm, Library. PTA sponsored free child-care provided for children 3yrs + up.
