Spring Activities: open for enrollment
Gayle’s Art Class, grades 1-3, 2-4, 5-7 Using a wide variety of high quality materials students will create projects inspired by nature, imagination, art history, and the art and cultures of countries where the teacher has traveled, lived, and studied. Classes are ongoing, and some students attend all year while others enroll for just one or a few sessions. Projects are not repeated. Over the course of the year we will draw, paint, collage, sew, construct and create glazed and fired clay pieces. Instructor: Gayle Steinberger Dates: vary, Mon, Tue, Wed. Time: 3:00-4:30pm for grades 1-4 4:30-6:00 for grades 5-7 Class Size: 10 Cost: varies depending on length of class Enrollment Form
Gayle’s Clay Class, grades 1-7 Clay, clay – only clay! Instructor: Gayle Steinberger Dates: Tues Apr. 8 – June 10 (10 sessions) Time: 3:00-4:30pm Class Size: 10 Cost: $160 Enrollment Form Red Cross: When I'm in Charge: Learn to respond safely to a variety of situations when direct parent supervision is unavailable. This course includes role-play activities about answering the phone and door and discussions on gun and Internet safety, personal safety and first aid situations. Family Gym Nights, all ages We'll open the gym up for fun activities and active games. This is a great way to help your family stay fit during the winter and play like kids again. Dates: Every Wed. school night Time: 6:30 – 8:00pm Class size: limited to 50 people Cost: Free Drop-in, all kids must be accompanied by an adult. PICOcricket, grades 1-4 Make artistic creations with lights, sounds, music, and motion. Instructor: WizKids instructor Dates: Thur. Apr. 17 – June 5 Time: 3:10-4:10pm Class Size: 10-15 Cost: $80 Enrollment Form Computer Animation, grades 2-6 Learn how to create characters that dance, sing and interact and integrate images with sound effects and music clips. Lego Robotics, grades 1-7 Instructor: Justin Hirsch and other parent volunteers. Dates: Session I: Oct 17 - Feb. 6 Session II: Feb. 13 - June 4 Time: Wed 3:00 - 4:30pm Class Size: 48 (requires 6-12 parent volunteers) Cost: Free Because of high demand for this activity, a second session was added and both sessions were filled during the fall lottery. We are in the process of contacting students from the fall waiting list to verify their continued interest. If spaces become available, we will send enrollment forms home in Friday folders in January and hold another lottery in early February.
