Arnerich Massena Wins Investment News Community Leadership Award for Community Service Programs

September 2007 Arnerich Massena & Associates, Inc. has been named the winner of the Volunteer Team Award at the first annual Community Leadership Awards, presented by the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation and InvestmentNews. The awards were "established to recognize and celebrate financial advisers across the nation for their exemplary leadership and contributions to their communities." Arnerich Massena is one of four winners (in four separate categories) of the prestigious award, out of almost 500 entries. The Invest in Others Charitable Foundation will make a donation of $10,000 to each award winner's charity of choice. Arnerich Massena was recognized for its community service programs working with children in Irvington Elementary School, a local Portland Public School. The firm conducts an outreach program to provide targeted students with academic support and enriching experiences with the goal of helping them succeed in their studies and build positive self-images. Tony Arnerich, CEO, is committed to community involvement as an essential part of his business philosophy. His wife, Christine Arnerich, is executive administrator of the program and also feels business has a fundamental responsibility to embrace a supporting role in the community: "We believe our programs promote an ideal of business in partnership with community." The firm sponsors a variety of activities, including reading and math mentorship programs, girls' and boys' clubs, and summer camps for journalism and science.
